What is Awana?
Awana is a Bible centered Mid-week club for children 2 ½ years old through 5th grade. The acronym Awana comes from the first letter of the scripture: "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed." 2 Timothy 2:15.
Awana meets every Wednesday evening at 7:15 p.m. in the lower level Children's Ministries classrooms.
Why Awana?
Awana exists to reach children with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The priorities of Awana include reaching family members with the gospel and training adults to minister to children.
What does Awana teach?
Awana is an evangelistic and discipleship program that teaches Scripture memory, basic Bible truths and real life application with physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual parameters at age appropriate levels.
An Awana club meeting consists of several parts: Large Group story/lessons, Scripture memory, and high energy games.
After completing the entrance booklet, your child is eligible to earn awards as a member of his or her Awana club. All children earn awards and badges as they go through the Scripture memory verses in their handbooks.
Puggles: A club for 2 ½ through 3 ½ year olds, teaches basic Bible truths in simple terms.
Cubbies: A club for children 3 ½ years through pre-kindergarten with Scripture memory introduction.
Sparks: A club for kindergarten through 2nd grade that emphasizes Scripture memory and Bible centered activities.
Truth & Training: A club for 3rd through 5th grade that uses Scripture memory, Bible truth, and missionary experience.
Our number sticker check-in system, at least two servers present at all times policy, and the background check of all our volunteer servers supports our commitment to the safety of the children. Children will receive handbooks, uniforms, awards and enjoy special events!
You can make a difference in the lives of our children by sharing your gifts and talents here in Awana. Each week volunteers minister to the children with the nurture, love and hope of Jesus Christ.
