Deaf Ministry
Our Deaf Ministry is designed to help meet the spiritual needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals who wish to participate in the many programs and services offered at Church of the Redeemer. Sign language interpreting is regularly provided for our Sunday morning service at 11 a.m. Interpreting is also available for our Wednesday evening service at 7:15 p.m. and other church events and services upon advanced request only. The Deaf Ministry also seeks to bring those of the Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Hearing communities together through special activities such as sign language classes and other events. Mission
As part of our mission to communicate the wonderful news of Jesus Christ to our local community, Church of the Redeemer has developed an outreach ministry to serve some of the spiritual needs of the Deaf community in Montgomery County, MD. Understanding that the spiritual needs of the Deaf community are numerous and varied, as with any particular group, the Deaf Ministry of Church of the Redeemer has a threefold objective to provide spiritual ministry to the Deaf through:
- Sign language interpretation of church services, Life Groups, and other events.
- Integration of the Deaf community into areas of service within the church.
- Providing regular fellowship opportunities for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Hearing communities.
